Why don’t you move in together? (On Harper and Iggy)
Well it makes sense, they are clones of each other…
Bob Rae was the best….

I supported Ignatieff’s leadership bid this time round and I certainly would not have done that if I felt he was a Harper clone. Saying it does not make it so. On the other hand, I totally agree Bob Rae is a really great guy. Always a great sport and funny as heck.

Woman at Mile O, my criticism of Ignatieff comes from a few incidents.
I could go into his past writings and what he’s supported (war in Iraq, torture, ect).
That only taints him a little.
He voted to extend the “farce” in Afghanistan.
He’s called Quebec a nation.
He would like to cut income tax.
He seems to have worked against the coalition.
His statement on I/P war aligns him with Harper (compare to Bob Rae’s statements).
He’s surrounded himself with people that seems to share much of Harper’s beliefs.
He’s not really inclusive.
It’s a question of values and the direction Ignatieff seems to want to take the Liberals. Sure there are politics and optics – so far I’m not impressed.

OK ….I like income tax cuts but focused on the poor and middle class. Don’t mind the Quebec nation thing at all. Afghanistan…if Obama will send the troops that are truly needed ( if it stops being a plug the leak rather than fix the pipes scenario) I might reassess my opinion on that whole issue. Don’t think I agree with surrounding himself with people who agree with Harper.
I am not sure I can make a judgement about inclusive yet. I heard him speak on the importance of Early Childhood and green issues and I agree with those views. I have not seen who he will appoint to shadow cabinet so that is mainly why I am not sure yet.

Early Childhood
Works in Quebec – too bad Paul Martin was too slow to implement his plan.
Don’t mind the Quebec nation thing at all.
Did not help Harper, and since Iggy is saying almost exactly the same thing…
