Victoria Liberal Taste of Chocolate Holiday Party
It has been a busy 3 weeks for me and I have been very neglectful of this blog. I finished off my MEd program and given all the writing required to complete the final exams it has taken me still more time to regain a desire to write again. I have been going to school full or part-time with only summers off (and not all summers either) since September 2001 and I don’t believe I realized how tired I was until it was all over and done. It feels very nice to be able to just focus on work, my family and whatever else I want to do for a change.
Although still not 100%, I wanted to bring Victoria Liberals attention to the upcoming Christmas party on Tuesday, November 24th aptly named “A Taste of Chocolate“. Victoria Federal Liberal candidate, Christpher Causton will be auctioning off the commission of 3 paintings that will be created by local artists. PLUS there will be Christmas, Golf, Gardening and Wine & Cheese Baskets up for silent auction.
I was most impressed to learn that Mr. Causton, as the current Mayor of Oak Bay, recently joined with the rest of the municipal council and voted himself a pay decrease given the drop in the cost of living in Victoria. It is quite refreshing to see politicians who also “walk the walk” not just “talk the talk” in these tough economic times. The Vancouver Sun reports,
